Andre the hilarious hypnotist isas Iconic to South Africa as Melktert and Boerewors. Having started his career as stage hypnotist in the 1990’s. Andre’s four-week stay at the Victory Theatre in Johannesburg turned into a eleven-week sold-out season and the Hilarious Hypnosis show was born. 

Andre’s initial venture into the Theatre world started when he was still in school attending drama lessons, performing in various school plays and even doing a bit of TV work but this all changed when he met his Mentor the late Max Collie in 1988. 

It was at one of Max Collie’s shows that Andre’s future became his reality. Andre describes his first-ever hypnosis show as one of the most profound experiences he has ever had and his career took shape from there. 

Andre is quick to distance himself from being called a stage hypnotist and instead considers himself a comedian who uses hypnosis to provide an evening's hilarious entertainment. 

A combination of psychology, drama and comedic dry humour is what glues the show together and joined by an ever-changing cast of volunteers, Andre promises to provide an evening's entertainment that will have you talking for a long time  

after the  final curtain closes. 

What makes the show so enjoyable is the fact that the entertainment is provided by the very same people who share your shop, office, and streets. There is nothing funnier than seeing members of your community participating in various hilarious suggestions. And there is no shortage of hilarious suggestions with a show structured to entice the best response from its  participants.
